Here’s a very good video from the UK.  A woman dies from airway difficulties, and the situation is assessed and dissected by her husband, a pilot.  We all have, and will, make mistakes in medicine.  Some of them may be terrible, some inconsequential.  But the most important issue is that we recognize them, learn from them and try help others learn from our mistakes.

I’m amazed by the husband’s comment at the end.  Rather than invective and anger at those who were caring for her wife when she died, he shows remarkable kindness, wisdom and depth of understanding.  I’d tell you, but you might not watch the video.  It’s worth 15 minutes!
