So, in a roundabout way, you are saying I should be on longterm benzos?!?! Just kidding.

In reality, this is one of the things I have most struggled with as a new PA. Anxiety is in some respects a necessary evil so I am trying to learn the balance. Not easy.

I'm quite interested in this. I hope you make the devotions a regular feature.

The "seed of worry" is definitely an aspect of being a good physician. Patients want providers to be at their best, but in the background the mutual vulnerability is important for care to retain that human touch. Providers just need to know their personal limits for loaning out their feelings.

It's very hard not to worry. I love this scripture too, Romans 8:28 'And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.'

No matter what horrible situation may unfold, 'all things work together for good to them that love God.' We are in a fallen world; bad things will happen, but with God's help it can be turned into something good.
